FILM FESTIVAL

“Film as dream, film as music. No form of art goes beyond ordinary consciousness as film does, straight to our emotions, deep into the twilight room of the soul. A little twitch in our optic nerve, a shock effect: twenty-four illuminated frames a second, darkness in between, the optic nerve incapable of registering darkness.” - Ingmar Bergman

Celebrating the art of cinema, Art All Day is hosting its first annual AAD Film Festival, featuring a diverse and entertaining selection of short films at the Passage Theater in historic downtown Trenton. The festival’s mission is to celebrate films and the art of filmmaking. We also hope to serve as a forum for discussion and debate about films and filmmaking. The film festival will begin at 1pm on Saturday Sept.16th and conclude at 6pm. With 1000+ submissions representing 51+ countries, the festival will spotlight thrilling new short films from around the world, including a variety of films from local Trenton filmmakers and creators.

The festival is dedicated to the promotion and screening of diverse talents, to share unique perspectives and stories, to support emerging voices from around the world, and to empower current and future generations of artists in front of and behind the camera. Shorts that will be screened vary from music videos, comedy shorts, PSAs, horror shorts, art pieces, and so much more! We guarantee you will see amazing unique films that will have you laughing, crying, screaming in fear and leave you thinking as you exit the theater.

The festival will be curated by film maker and Art All Night film festival director Anthony Catanese.  The AAN film festival will be held at Passage Theater 165 E Front St, Trenton, NJ 08608.  The event is free to attend.
